This book will be coming out in a new edition in 2004. To learn how we have updated and improved the book, please see the catalog page for the new edition.
We will also be revising the Book Companion Site; when it is complete, the new site will be available at this same Web address.
A much admired, widely adopted, and one-of-a-kind reader, Ways of
Reading combines lengthy and challenging readings with innovative
and demanding apparatus to engage students in conversations with some
of the most powerful voices in our culture.
This site provides additional resources for instructors using Ways
of Reading. Click on a reading in the Table of Contents
to see additional assignments from users of the text. If you would like
to contribute assignments of your own for this Web site, please send it via e-mail to composition@bedfordstmartins.com.
You'll also find a section from the Instructor's Manual called
"Questions We Are Often Asked" that includes
a sample syllabus from David Bartholomae.
