MISSION STATEMENT
The goal of this e-mail discussion list is to provide a forum for
both students and teachers who wish to collaborate with each other on the readings and
issues raised in Rereading America. Teachers may wish to discuss such issues as teaching
with Rereading America, both in a classroom setting and through electronic means,
teaching tips and strategies, and assignments for work with and outside the text.
Students may wish to work on collaborative writing projects or interview students
from other parts of the country.
POLICIES
This is a moderated list. The moderator reserves the right to make all decisions regarding
the posting of messages. Those that are judged to fall outside the
mission statement of this
list will be returned to the sender with an explanation for the rejection and a suggestion
to "revise and resubmit," or with a request for clarification. No messages will be posted
anonymously.
The tone of this list is that of congenial, scholarly discussion, and courtesy is assumed.
Contributors may argue facts or opinions, within the focus of the
goals of the list. However,
personal attacks on other contributors or institutions will not be intentionally posted.
"Flames" are not welcome on REREADING. Bedford Books intends to moderate the list,
not referee.

rereading@bedfordbooks.com. The moderator will distribute all messages that conform
to the policies stated above to the entire list of
