The Struggle for Balance, Joy, and Work
When this issue of Lore is published, many of us who teach writing will be planted in the middle of the semester, looking hopefully toward that glowing horizon known as the end of the school year and then stumbling across the glut of work that needs attention before we get there. And many of us will wonder, Can I meet my obligations and not lose it? Contributors to this issue reflect on how they have (at least momentarily) achieved that fragile balance that enables them to peacefully meet the demands placed on them as graduate students and writing instructors and remain fully human with lives outside of the academy.
