Indira Sant   (1914-2000) BIOGRAPHY Indira Sant (b. 1914) was born in Pune in the state of Maharashtra, India. Indira Sant began her career as a teacher and a writer of children's fiction. In the 1950s she focused her talent on writing feminist poetry that sympathetically described the hardships endured by Indian mothers, wives, and daughters.
