BIOGRAPHY
While traveling abroad, she became associated with the Imagists, a group of English and American poets in London who felt that sharply realized images gave poetry its power, and she gained recognition promoting their work in America after 1913. Her first collection of poems, A Dome of Many-Coloured Glass, appeared in 1912. Though her poetry never reached a wide audience, her criticism helped shape American poetic tastes of the time.
