An easy to use site that provides excellent answers to a number of questions writers commonly ask.

The Purdue University On-Line Writing Lab (OWL)

One of the first writing labs to go online, this is still one of the best. Besides offering excellent handouts and writing links, this page also contains links to many other online writing labs.

The Undergraduate Writing Center at the University of Texas at Austin

A well-organized and very complete collection of resources for student writers at all levels.

"The Online Writery" at the University of Missouri

Besides offering a variety of writing tools and links, the "writery" also helps writers at all levels get together online through Interactive Web Forums (similar to newsgroups on the Web), a site to post and read online essays, a site to email "cybertutors" questions and concerns about writing, and a mailing list called the "Writery Café."

A very good and very complete site geared mostly toward "professional" writers, though there is plenty of useful information here for writers at any level. Among the many features Inkspot provides are links to newgroups and mailing lists for writers, information and links to sites on how to publish writing in various genres, software for writers, and writer's reference materials.
