Rewrite the following sentences, replacing empty phrases with more concise alternatives.

1. He dropped out of school on account of the fact that it was necessary for him to help support his family.

 

2. In the event that you happen to be in agreement with me during the course of the meeting, please speak out.

 

3. Despite the fact that I was not prepared, I did well on the calculus exam.

 

4. Until such time as I have the opportunity to get help with this problem, I will have to cope with it myself.

 

5. In the not-too-distant future, first-year college students must all become aware of the fact that there is a need for them to make contact with an academic adviser concerning the matter of a major.
