How to Use Your Word ProcessorOpening an Existing FileOpening an existing file is typically accomplished through menu or toolbar commands. In Microsoft Word, use either of the following techniques: Menu Commands: Use the FILE > OPEN menu command. The Open dialog box will open, allowing you locate and open a file. You can choose a file from the current folder, double-click on folders to view their contents, or use the Look In drop-down menu to locate files in other drives or folders. The Toolbar: Use the Open icon on the toolbar to create a file. Clicking on the icon will cause the Open File box to appear. |
