Bedford e-Books to Go are already priced at half the cost of a traditional print textbook and can be downloaded to a laptop or other device. These PDF-style e-books match our print books page for page and have been optimized for use on your Windows or Mac computer, iPad, or large-screen Android tablet.
You can save your students even more money by customizing an e-Book to Go to include only the content you plan to use in class.
- Remove chapters – Each chapter we remove saves your students $1.50, up to $7.50 (or five chapters maximum). To remove chapters, the net price for the Bedford e-Book to Go must be at least $20.
- Add content* – Add up to 20 pages of your own content to the e-Book to Go free of charge. Many instructors add:
- A syllabus
- Campus policies
- Original material
* A note about additional contentYour additional content cannot contain text or images that would require permissions to be cleared for their use. Because we are a commercial publisher, we adhere to a strict definition of Fair Use and must clear permissions for even the smallest amount of material you use that is not your own. To keep costs to students as low as possible, we do not offer to clear permissions for a custom e-Book to Go.
Please submit your additional content as a PDF using a standard 8.5” x 11” page size. Most instructors tell us they create PDFs by clicking, under the File tab, either (a) “Print,” then selecting their PDF converter; or (b) “Save As,” then choosing PDF from the options. If you do not have a PDF converter, you can download one here: http://www.primopdf.com/. Formatting and proofreading for spelling, punctuation, or other mistakes are your responsibility. Please double check your content for correctness and appearance before submitting it.
