Professor Isaacs relates her experience working with Bedford/St. Martin's Custom Publishing to create a customized version of A Writer's Reference for Montclair State University. Isaacs remarks that this customized version of Hacker's handbook works better for students and faculty because it provides a common language for the composition sequence and makes students feel more invested in the school community.
